How to Remove Glue In
Hair Extensions at Home
There are a few basic things that you need to prepare if you
want to remove hair extensions right at home. You need hair clips, baby oil, and
a hair glue remover. You will also need to types of comb, a fine toothed comb and
a wide toothed comb. You can buy hair glue remover in specialty beauty stores
or in hair salons.
To get started, first, you need to clip your hair up. Doing
so will expose the first hair extension that is attached to the bottom area of
your hair. Remember that the hair extensions are glued into hair sections in
tracks and you should remove each track one at a time. Make sure that you feel
through your hair to look for the hair tracks.
Put some baby oil unto your palm and fingers and reach
through the extension tracks, putting oil right into its glue bonds. Using a
wide toothed comb, gently comb through the extension track. Apply hair glue
remover to the hair tracks by pouring a generous amount to your fingers. Rub
liberally at the tracks and use a fine toothed comb to remove the glue from
your hair.
After the first track is removed, pull down the hair clip
and go do the next section. Clip up your hair to expose the second hair
extension track and repeat the above process until all the hair tracks are
removed and you are done!
